Her mother abandoned her in Sojourn City when she was small, and she roamed the streets of Sojourn City as a street urchin, begging for scraps, until she was welcomed into a group of pickpockets. She eventually fought her way free of the grasp of the manipulative gang leader, and set out on her own. She was noticed by a shadow monk from the Twofold Truth, and she joined their order. Elysande is working her way up, learning how to be a shadow monk as a way to “cleanse” Aithar of the corruption of magic to prove herself in order to learn more of the Truth. She has found herself dealing with more magic than she had bargained for.
