>[!INFO] STATUS: ENDANGERED > In the ancient dwarven stronghold dam Thunderhold, in a region about to be under siege by hordes of the dead. ![[Wiki/assets/portrait_valrynna.png|200]] ![[portrait_valrynna2.png|200]] ![[valrynna3_summer.png|200]] Vakrynna is an Eladrin from the Woodland Realm, more recently known as the Dead Lands. She was part of a group who made the routine coming-of-age pilgrimage to see the Realm Tree, the mythical deific creature that lives in the heart of the realm. The Tree, having been dead for several centuries, no longer provided the guidance it once did, but the pilgrimages continued all the same. This one was different. The elves walked away with strange powers - witches, all. Valrynna set out, along with some of the others, going different directions, searching for a way to use their powers and save the elven people who die a slow, agonizing death as a species, clinging to a home that can no longer sustain them. As her journey has gone on, she has changed from her cheery spring form, to her winter form dealing with hardship and darkness, and now to her fiery, angry summer form, after the bloody rampage conducted among her new friends and compatriots by one of her fellow witches. What lurks in her homeland, in the very Tree that gave her powers, is an evil beyond Aithar's past reckoning. The final battle seems destined to take place there, and she helps the others to gather the forces to meet that darkness.
