His parents were traveling merchants delivering goods between the Iron City and Mindel, and were killed by orc. Nikolos was adopted by the cloud giants living in those mountains. As he grew up, they taught him pieces of their illusion magic, and he became an echo knight. Recently, working as a soldier for the Slevsky Barony, he put himself in danger to personally protect the Baron. This resulted in him being assigned a member of his private guard, which in turn resulted in him later being assigned to bodyguard [[Jude Farris (NPC)]] as he went to the capital, [[Harreton|Harreton]] as the Barony's royal councilor. Once Jude was dead, Nikolos was named Councilor for expedience's sake by the Baron, and he linked up with the other councilors.
